Canal Park, located across I35 from downtown Duluth offers those visiting the North Shore a chance to get up close and personal to some of the big freighters than move across the Great Lakes.
The park includes dinging, shopping and maritime museums as well as a just over 4 mile lake walk.
Much of the park is old warehouse space converted from the glory days of Duluth’s shipping years. It is also an integral part of the annual Grandma’s Marathon held every year in Duluth that runs along the North Shore Scenic ByWay.
