Starting in Silver Bay and running to Aurora, just east of Eveleth on the famed Iron Range, the Superior National Forest scenic byway offers North Shore Visitors a plunge into the wilderness that runs along the west of Lake Superior’s north shore.
What to expect
Home to forest, lakes, rivers and marshlands the byway offers wildlife viewing and roadside pit stops to take in some sites and hikes.
The route it scenic and is also the shortest route between the range and the lake.
