Home to breathtaking views of cliff kissed Lake Superior, North Shore recreation opportunities are endless.
What to expect
During your trip to north east Minnesota, no matter what your adventure seeking heart desires, the north shore can accommodate it.
The area is known for it’s views. Here, you can take in the northern lights, watch for wildlife and breathe in fresh, crisp air while taking a hike, playing a round of golf or exploring one of the many north shore waterfalls.
Much of the area is still wilderness which means it’s very possible you’ll encounter wildlife, be respectful and safe. Since much of it is wilderness, it’s a good idea to note a couple other things as you head out.
Keep north shore recreation for generations to come
When spending time outdoors, follow posted signs from the forest service and the Minnesota DNR regarding the spread of invasive species in waterways and by foot. Follow the precautions recommended and often required by law including draining water from boats and cleaning shoes before entering start park trail ways.
Finally, help preserve the area for future generations. Leave as little trace behind as possible. When able, stay on marked paths, pick up any trash and clean up after your pets.
