Minnesota’s North Shore State Parks provide visitors a great place to stay and lots of great things to do on the north shore.
What to Expect
Most of the state parks on the north shore allow camping and include backpack, drive in, boat in and cart in sites. Many of the sites are reservable to you’ll want to check with the Minnesota DNR ahead of your visit as only a few sites are first come first serve. Many of the parks on the North Shore are very popular and between Memorial Day and Labor Day, in high demand.
Using Minnesota State Parks requires a permit and one can be obtained upon arrival at the park. The DNR offers year and one-day passes.
